Well, folks I attempted to attend my regular Latin Dance Class at the gym yesterday to pump out my Vata energy when it was usurped by a substitute instructor who generated a High Impact, High Energy Aerobics & Weights class! Yes, I got a good workout, but as my leg muscles were expecting a different routine, I unexpectedly pulled my hamstring while moving my leg in ways that I’m not typically used too. =(
So, after sitting in a Dry Sauna to release the Pitta inflammation (*The Ayurvedic Karma of Svedana, purification through Sudation, is always good in short doses) I returned home and applied Mahanarayan Oil to my legs and body in the shower. Some of you may know that I’m a big proponent of Ayurvedic Mahanarayan Oil and being a Pitta-Vata Prakriti, this greatly nourishes my body and mind.
“Maha” means “Great” and “Narayan” refers to “Lord Vishnu” in Vedic and Hindu scriptures. Therefore, Mahanarayan oil is thought to be the “Great Oil” and is typically made with a base of organic sesame oil infused with anywhere from 25-52 healing herbs!
In Ayurveda, we frequently use herbal oils to deliver nourishment to our body’s tissues through the skin. You can read more about Mahanarayan oil on these websites:

You can purchase Mahanarayan oil at www.banyanbotanicals.com or at Soulutions for Daily Living in Newtown, PA.
I highly encourage you to keep a bottle in your house for aches, pains, muscle strains, muscle weakness, nerve pain, fatigue, dryness, sensitivity to cold and much more. Try it today!
Namaste, Julie
